One thing that I love is seeing the branding guidelines and how designers translate ideas and goals behind a branding project into a coherent and consistent system. Juan Carlos Pagan shared a branding and visual identity designed with the great folks at Sunday Afternoon for Pinterest. If you don’t know what Pinterest is (where have you been?), it’s the online destination and only social network that allows users to visually share and discover new interests by 'pinning' images and videos to Pin boards.
For this project the team created a complete identity system for Pinterest, including a custom logotype that embodies the action of pinning, by turning the ‘P’ into a map pin.
