Gradient Studies in Illustrator — Encore

Following on from the first Gradient Studies series created back in 2017 [covered in Case Study: Gradients in Illustrator: https://hottopbest.com/node/83630], Evgeniya Righini-Brand wanted to see how her style and approach had developed over the past few years, so she was excited to undertake the same challenge which this time she extended to 36 days of experimenting daily with a range of gradient-related techniques (which she subsequently covered in a new edition of a Skillshare class Mastering Gradients in Illustrator) and create gradient-based designs of varying levels of complexity purely in Adobe Illustrator. “In this new set I concentrated on experimenting more with stroke gradients, freeform gradients, semi-translucent elements and fading-out gradients, and explored slightly different colour palettes, whilst keeping true to my love of geometric and organic shapes and abstraction.” Designs in this series took between 30 minutes to 2 hours on average from concept to export, and there are more complex artworks in this series in comparison to the first one explains Evgeniya.
