Navigating the complex labyrinth of Brazilian finance - encompassing Taxes, Pix, digital banks, and much more - has always posed a daunting challenge for non-Brazilians, especially those eyeing investment opportunities in the country. However, with the advent of Banking Jungle, an elucidative guide to the intricacies of the Brazilian financial system, this convoluted maze has become significantly more approachable.
Banking Jungle is an English podcast conceptualized and hosted by Gabriel Falk, with the goal of simplifying Brazil's financial world for foreigners. It eschews perplexing jargon, replacing it with a straightforward narrative that effectively educates listeners. But what truly distinguishes Banking Jungle is its innovative branding, expertly crafted by a talented Brazilian design studio - Chá de Bold.
Chá de Bold infused a breath of fresh air into an industry usually characterized by somber, cold visuals. The studio broke away from these staid norms, introducing a playful and engaging visual identity that both attracts and entertains all with colorful illustration. To further accentuate the Brazilian essence, iconic elements such as Christ the Redeemer donning a Faria Limer's puffer jacket, the vibrant toucan, the native guarana plant, the rhythmic samba tambourine, and the ubiquitous caramel dog - a well-known Brazilian meme - have been ingeniously integrated into the branding and illustration work.
The illustration work is not only aesthetically appealing but they also serve a deeper purpose. They embody a narrative of financial literacy, gently guiding foreigners through Brazil's financial landscape. While the visuals are inherently fun and whimsical, they subtly convey the gravity of the subject matter, helping the audience absorb complex financial concepts with ease.
Chá de Bold's creative endeavour is not merely about making banking visually compelling, but about fostering a deeper understanding of Brazil's financial system, demystifying its complexity, and ultimately, making it accessible to all. With its beautiful illustrations, the studio brilliantly showcases how design can serve as an effective tool in educating and engaging audiences in even the most daunting of subjects.
We developed a more attractive and fun visual identity, which reversed the serious and cold language of the world of finance, in addition to bringing Brazilian icons such as Christ the Redeemer with a Faria Limer’s puffer jacket, toucan, guarana plant, samba tambourine, and even the caramel dog (this is a huge e famous Brazilian meme and icon).
